Soft cover range
Where seat cushions are reversible, they should be turned frequently to minimise creasing. We recommended that you vacuum your upholstery regularly.
In the event of a spill, blot with a clean dry cloth, or use one of our specialised cleaning products which are available on our accessories page. Furniture should not be placed in direct sunlight or in areas where there is excessive dryness or humidity.
All pile fabrics (including chenille's and velvets) have a certain degree of shading or pile crushing with frequent use. The soft lush nature of the fabrics means it is subject to seating or pressure marking. This is where shading can occur due to change of light reflecting when the pile is naturally reversed during use. This is not a fabric fault, nor will it detract from the wearing properties of the material.
Although every effort is made to control the colours on our products, variations in shades can sometimes occur between different deliveries. If you order an additional product to match your original order, at a later date, it is not always possible to obtain an exact colour match.
Leather
Leather is a natural material and is worth remembering to expect certain natural characteristics in the finish. No two hides are alike and bear marks of their origin. Typical examples would be neck wrinkles or scars. This only adds to the natural beauty of leather.
If you only clean your leather when you absolutely have to, that's probably enough. What you must not do is attempt to feed the leather with saddle soap or wax soap, and definitely not with spray polish which can create an unpleasant sticky surface.
To clean your leather, take a soft cloth and wring it out in soap solution. Use mild toilet soap please, never detergent. Rub the leather with light circular motion until clean. Repeat with clean cloth. For rare and awkward stains, specialised leather care cleaning products can be purchased from our accessories page. Always read the manufactures instructions.
Leather stretches and creases particularly in the first few weeks of use, so creasing on cushions and seats can be expected. This is not a material fault. Avoid sharp objects such as belts, buckles and zips from scratching the top surface of the leather. To avoid from drying out protect the leather from direct sun light and keep it away from direct heat sources such as fires and radiators.
